Albini, Felix (1869-1933)
Srecko Albini (Mayor, 10 December 1869 - Zagreb, 18 April 1933), Croatian composer and conductor .
He was born into a Jewish family as Felix Albini. He was educated in Graz and Vienna, and began his career as a conductor of the City Theater in Graz. He was director of the Opera in Zagreb and wider repertoire, engages new forces, is an excellent organizer, and his time running a number of new titles of the classical repertoire and new works by Croatian authors. Its founder is the author of the operator, which is represented by domestic and foreign composers and some playwrights. As a composer he is best known by the operettas which continues Zajc's tradition. He composed in the spirit of the Viennese classical operetta and French musical vaudeville, and in some works entries and elements of the national music of his homeland, especially the Slavonian motifs in operetta Baron Trenk.
